The year is 2010; the date is somewhere between July & September; and across Ipswich youth everywhere are saying:
"WHAT AM I GONNA DO!!!!! I WANNA DO SOMETHING!!!"
-well ... THE ANSWER IS JUST A CLICK AWAY!!! ... and then a wait, and then a drive, and then a brief conversation...
Welcome to Youth at IBC - commonly known as theZOO
"In the beginning of 2002, 'theZOO' was born.
We were a bunch of young people, connected to Ipswich Baptist who met together on Friday nights to have fun and to understand something about Jesus' love."
"We had this book, where we put our names, addresses and any comments about youth that we wanted to make, and it was titled 'Who's Who In The Zoo', and it was an awesome way for us to be able to keep intouch with each other (& laugh at each others comments).
As we talked about what identity to give ourselves when we met on Fridays we came to the agreement that 'theZOO' was who we were!!
- incidentally, that same 'Who's Who In The Zoo' book still runs today!!"
theZOO is for any one who is 'high school age' and meets on Friday nights through out the school term from 7:30 till 10:01pm at 34a Workshops St, Brassall.
